East Coast Railway has announced the cancellation of both directions of the popular Rourkela-Bhubaneswar Intercity Express on Tuesday, 18 August 2026.
Train No. 22840 Bhubaneswar–Rourkela Intercity Express will remain cancelled on 18 August 2026. In the return direction, Train No. 22839 Rourkela–Bhubaneswar Intercity Express will also remain cancelled on the same day.
The decision has been taken due to the delay of the link train.
Railway authorities have advised passengers to check the latest train running status on the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or through official railway enquiry services before starting their journey.
