Sambalpur: A headmaster retired from the service just four months ago on Tuesday ended life by jumping before a speeding train near City station in Sambalpur.
Khirod Nath, who got retired from Tamparkela high school in June, also left a suicide note at the spot, in which he held responsible four employees of the school for the tragic incident.
Through the letter, he also appealed to the authorities to take stringent action against them and ensure justice to him and his family.
Eyewitness said that Nath came to the station on a cycle and crossed the railway track after parking his cycle on the other side. Later, he kept his slipper and the suicide note besides the track before taking the drastic step.
The note, which was seized by police read that four employees of Tamparkela high school namely Subal Barik, Murari Patel, Jagdish Sahoo and Sanjeev Patel were responsible for his death.
“They conspired to tarnish my image in public. I fell prey to these bad characters. Subal and Jagdish were the main conspirators. Taking advantage of my simplicity, they all embarrassed me many times. They should be given proper punishment,” Nath mentioned in the letter.
Police seized the suicide note and launched an investigation.
