Odisha prepares for Republic Day 2026 with the Governor scheduled to unfurl the National Flag and take the salute at Bhubaneswar on January 26.
The Home Department released the official order assigning ministers and dignitaries to different districts for ceremonial duties.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will hoist the flag in Cuttack. Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo will lead the ceremony in Koraput, while Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida will take charge in Khordha. Minister Suresh Pujari will perform the ceremony in Puri, and Minister Rabi Narayan Naik will lead in Bargarh.
Minister Nityananda Gond will oversee Rayagada. Minister Krushna Chandra Patra will conduct the event in Keonjhar. Minister Prithviraj Harichandan will lead in Dhenkanal. Minister Mukesh Mahaling will take charge in Kandhamal. Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena will hoist the flag in Malkangiri. Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra will lead in Bhadrak.
Minister Ganesh Ram Singhkhuntia will conduct the ceremony in Kalahandi. Minister Suryabanshi Suraj will lead in Nayagarh. Minister Pradeep Bal Samanta will oversee Sambalpur. Minister Gokulananda Mallik will take charge in Balasore. Minister Sampad Chandra Swain will lead in Boudh.
Collectors and RDCs will manage ceremonies in Kendrapada, Berhampur, Rourkela, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Subarnapur, and Sundargarh. The order states that if any dignitary fails to attend, the concerned Collector or ADM will unfurl the flag and take the salute.
