Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday conducted raids on the properties associated with the Tahasildar of Remuna on the allegations of possessing disproportionate assets.
The accused has been identified as Bidyadhar Pati, Tahsildar, Remuna, Dist-Balasore.
Simultaneous house searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by 6 DSsP, 3 Inspectors, 10 ASIs, and other supporting staff on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar at the following 7 places in Bhubaneswar and Balasore.
(1) Flat No. C604 at Tamarin Terraces, Sailashree Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
(2) Flat No. B40406 (3BHK Executive) at Asotech Pride, Rudrapur, Bhubaneswar.
(3) Double-storeyed building located at Kuruda, PS-Sadar, Dist-Balasore.
(4) Paternal house of Pati at Ainri, PS-Soro, Dist-Balasore.
(5) Office chamber of Bidyadhar Pati, Tahasildar, Remuna, Dist-Balasore.
(6) Place of stay of Bidyadhar Pati at Balasore.
(7) House of the relative of Bidyadhar Pati located at Plot No.625 Mars Villa, HN-7, Panchasakha Nagar, Dumduma, Bhubaneswar.
During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Sri Pati and his family members;
1. 3-BHK Flat vide No.C-604 with area approx 1460 Sqft. at Tamarind Terraces, Sailashree Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
2. Flat No.B-40406 (3-BHK Executive) with area approx 1422 Sqft. at Asotech Pride, Rudrapur, Bhubaneswar.
3. 3-BHK flat vide No.404, 4th floor, B-Block with area approx 1554 Sqft. at Supratik Life Style, Kuruda, Balasore.
4. 2 nos. of plots in Bhubaneswar & Balasore.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above flats/plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
5. 1 four-wheeler (Hyundai i-20) & 2 two wheelers.
6. Bank and other deposits and investments are being ascertained.
7. One locker being operated in the name of his spouse at UCO Bank, Niladree Vihar Branch, Bhubaneswar, is still to be opened.
