Bengaluru is gearing up for a grand celebration as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) return home after their historic IPL 2025 triumph. The city will host a much-awaited victory parade today, June 4, as the RCB squad—led by Virat Kohli—parades through the heart of the city holding the coveted IPL trophy aloft.
The celebration will begin at Vidhana Soudha and conclude at M Chinnaswamy Stadium by 3:30 PM, with the team travelling in an open-top bus. The parade is expected to draw thousands of fans wearing red and black, waving flags, and chanting the now-iconic slogan, “Ee Sala Cup Namde!” City officials have issued traffic advisories and deployed extra security to manage the massive turnout.
Virat Kohli, visibly emotional after RCB’s win over Punjab Kings in the final at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, expressed his desire to share the moment with fans and invited former teammates AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle to join the festivities.
“This moment is not just ours — it belongs to every RCB fan,” Kohli said.
During the post-match presentation on Sunday night, RCB talisman Virat Kohli confirmed the team’s return to Bengaluru and expressed his excitement about celebrating the win with the city. He also extended a heartfelt invitation to former RCB stars Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers to join the team for the homecoming.
“This moment is not just ours — it belongs to every RCB fan. And it won’t be complete without AB and Chris in Bengaluru,” Kohli said.
Celebrations have already swept across Bengaluru. Streets in Indiranagar, Koramangala, MG Road, and Vijayanagara erupted in joy after the win, with fans bursting crackers, dancing on the roads, and turning pubs into makeshift stadiums.
Today’s parade marks the culmination of an 18-year-long dream for RCB and their passionate fanbase — a celebration not just of a trophy, but of loyalty, belief, and never giving up.
