Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have bolstered their squad ahead of the IPL 2025 playoffs by signing experienced New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert.
Seifert replaces Jacob Bethell, who has returned to England for national duties.
The 30-year-old Kiwi cricketer, acquired for Rs 2 crore, is set to join the team before their knockout-stage matches. Seifert’s T20 expertise and ability to play explosive innings make him a valuable addition to RCB’s lineup.
Bethell, who played a crucial role in RCB’s campaign, departed to join the England squad for their upcoming white-ball series against the West Indies. RCB fans will be eager to see how Seifert fits into the squad as they aim for their maiden IPL trophy.
