Authorities have arrested a Rajasthan government employee, identified as Shakur Khan Manganiyar, for allegedly spying for Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
The arrest took place in Jaisalmer as a joint operation by the state CID and intelligence agencies.
Sources indicate that Manganiyar was allegedly in direct contact with officials from the Pakistani High Commission, raising concerns about national security. Officials are expected to transfer him to Jaipur for further questioning, where intelligence and security agencies will conduct a joint interrogation. Initial investigations have already suggested links with foreign handlers.
This arrest comes shortly after the nationwide Operation Sindoor, an initiative aimed at dismantling espionage networks operating within India. As the investigation unfolds, more details are expected to surface regarding the nature of the classified information that might have been compromised.
Authorities have urged vigilance as they continue their probe into suspected espionage activities across the country.
