Bhubaneswar: Baikuntha Pradhan, an Odisha Raj Bhavan staffer who accused Governor Raghubar Das’s son, Lalit Kumar, of physical assault, has been transferred to the Home Department.
Pradhan, who was the Assistant Section Officer at the Governor’s Secretariat, claimed that Kumar and five others attacked him on July 7 at the Raj Bhavan premises in Puri.
The alleged assault occurred because Pradhan did not send two luxury cars to receive Kumar at the Puri railway station.
The state Home Department issued an order on Monday, stating that “Pradhan, at present deployed to the Governor’s Secretariat, is hereby transferred and posted as such to Home Department against the existing vacancy with immediate effect”.
