Acclaimed actor R. Madhavan is set to return to the horror genre, joining forces with director Vishal Furia for an untitled supernatural feature film.
The project is backed by producer Rohit Ranjan under his banner, Frostlit Production Limited.
Furia, celebrated for crafting rooted, emotional, and psychological horror narratives such as Lapachhapi, the Chhorii franchise, and Maa, will complete a decade in the Indian film industry in 2027. Calling Madhavan the “OG horror star” for his legendary performance in the cult classic 13B, Furia expressed excitement about the collaboration.
He shared that Madhavan’s experience as a writer, director, and actor brings rare depth to the project, aiming to deliver a chilling experience that audiences “will feel in their bones”.
Madhavan’s return to horror follows his previous genre outings in 13B and Shaitaan. Principal photography for the untitled project is slated to commence in early 2027.
Additional details regarding the rest of the cast and crew are expected to be officially announced in the coming months.
