New Delhi: The Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan and the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Bhanu) have withdrawn from the agitation.
The Delhi Police is now scanning mobile phone recordings and CCTV footage from areas where the clashes broke out on the Republic Day.
Reports said 37 farmer leaders, including BKU spokesperson Rakesh Tikait, Medha Patkar, Buta Singh, Yogendra Yadav, were held responsible for yesterday’s riots.
The Delhi Police mentioned that farmer leaders such as Darshan Pal, Rajinder Singh, Balbir Singh Rajewal, Buta Singh Burjgil and Joginder Singh Ugraha in its FIRs for breach of NOC issued for the tractor rally.
Worthwhile to mention that the Delhi Police on Wednesday filed an FIR against several prominent farmer leaders following the violence in the national capital on Republic Day. They vandalized public property to hoisting their flag at Red Fort where the National Flag was unfurled.
