The Srimandir Management Committee convened under the chairmanship of Puri King Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb on Monday to finalise the official schedule for the 2025 Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath.
The meeting ratified the ritual calendar prepared during the earlier ‘Chhatisha Nijoga’ assembly.
The revered Rath Yatra, marking the annual chariot procession of the Holy Trinity — Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra, is scheduled to take place on June 27 this year.
Key Itinerary Details:

Mangala Alati: Rituals will begin at 6:00 AM.

Rath Pratishtha (chariot consecration): To be completed by 9:00 AM.

Pahandi Bije (procession of deities to chariots): Scheduled from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Chera Pahara (sacred sweeping by the Gajapati King): Between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM.

Chariot pulling: To commence from 4:00 PM.
The committee also confirmed the Deva Snana Purnima rituals on June 11, featuring the traditional Hati Besha (elephant attire) of the deities at 4:30 PM.
For the Bahuda Yatra (return chariot procession), the pulling of the chariots is set to start at 4:00 PM.
The elaborate planning reflects the scale and spiritual magnitude of the Rath Yatra, which draws lakhs of devotees from across India and abroad.
