New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Belgrade, the Capital of Serbia for three-day state visit and paid floral tributes to bust of Mahatma Gandhi at Gandijeva Street
President Droupadi Murmu has arrived in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia for a 3-day state visit. At the Nikola Tesla airport, Belgrade, the President was received by the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić.
President Droupadi Murmu was given a warm welcome on arrival in Belgrade. This is the first visit by an Indian President to Serbia.

In the evening, President Murmu will interact with the Indian community & Friends of India. She will also lay a wreath at the monument of the unknown hero at Mount Awala, tomorrow.
President Murmu is visiting Serbia from 7th-9th of June, at the invitation of President Aleksandar Vučić. This is the first-ever state visit of the Head of State between the two countries.
A special feature of the visit is a business engagement where a 20-member business delegation is arriving separately from India to Serbia. The delegation will include members from 3 major Indian chambers; ASSOCHAM, FICCI, and CII.
The focus of the visit is to encourage the business communities of both countries to explore possibilities and prospects of business opportunities.
