President of India Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the All-India Conference and launched the nationwide campaign Karmayoga for Empowered Bharat of Brahma Kumaris in New Delhi on February 13, 2026.
She also flagged off the silver jubilee celebrations of the Om Shanti Retreat Centre in Gurugram.
Speaking at the event, President Murmu stressed that moral values and spirituality must integrate with material progress to achieve balanced and holistic development. She explained that while economic growth fosters prosperity and technological advancement drives innovation, both can create social imbalances if not guided by ethics. She cautioned that unethical economic practices may lead to exploitation and environmental damage, while technology without values can harm humanity.
The President emphasised that spirituality provides a moral framework that inspires selfless service through Karmayoga. She highlighted virtues such as integrity, compassion, non-violence, and service to others as essential for building a peaceful and just society. She noted that decisions rooted in spiritual values transcend self-interest and promote fairness, trust, and stability.
