President of India Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the National Conclave on Strengthening Integrated Tribal Development Agencies and Projects in New Delhi today.
She also virtually launched a Training Fab at the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering, IISc Bengaluru, and 75 Space Labs in Eklavya Model Residential Schools.
Addressing participants, the President described the conclave as a gathering of tribal change agents. She urged stakeholders to ensure welfare and development programs reach villages and households directly, transforming the lives of tribal communities. She emphasised that every project must ultimately serve human needs, highlighting nutrition for mothers, education for children, dignified livelihoods for youth, and welfare benefits for families.
Murmu noted that alongside modern development, preserving tribal culture and knowledge traditions remains vital. She stressed the importance of education and skill development, pointing out that nearly 500 Eklavya Model Residential Schools have already been established nationwide.
The President reiterated that holistic tribal development is integral to building Viksit Bharat by 2047. She expressed confidence that the conclave’s discussions would produce actionable solutions for grassroots implementation, ensuring inclusive national progress.
