The International Symposium on Shree Anna 2025 is set to take place on November 10th and 11th. The theme for this session will be “International Symposium on Shree Anna & Women’s Participation in Agricultural Heritage.”
This year, a special session will focus on women farmers, highlighting their equal role in agriculture alongside men as the true guardians of our traditional food crops.
Today, a meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department was held, chaired by Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee. The two-day symposium will be inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister, with the Valedictory ceremony attended by His Excellency the Governor.
Various stakeholders, including agriculturists, scientists, women agri-preneurs, NGOs, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), and international organisations such as FAO, MSSRF, IFPRI, and SEWA, will participate in this event. Additionally, many farmers, entrepreneurs, and students are expected to attend.
Preparations are in full swing to ensure the symposium’s success. This year’s mascot will be dressed in the famous Phuta Saree of Mayurbhanj.
Director of Agriculture Shubham Saxena, Dean of OUAT Dr Prasannajit Mishra, Additional Directors, and senior officers were present at the meeting, where they shared information regarding the organisation of the International Symposium.
