PM Modi Unveils Rs 3,880 Cr Projects in Varanasi, UP

Valued at Rs 3,880 crore, these initiatives encompass road connectivity enhancements, electricity infrastructure upgrades, education expansions, and healthcare improvements, signifying a balanced approach to preserving Kashi’s heritage while embracing modernity.

Major projects include the establishment of new road bridges, flyovers, and a highway underpass to improve connectivity to the Varanasi International Airport, alongside upgraded electricity substations. The healthcare sector witnessed remarkable strides with the distribution of Ayushman Vay Vandana Cards to senior citizens, ensuring free treatment for individuals aged 70 and above. Additionally, advancements in education and sports facilities aim to empower the youth of Purvanchal and create opportunities for excellence.

The Prime Minister emphasized the transformative impact of Banas Dairy on local families, particularly women, promoting self-reliance and prosperity. He described Kashi as a unique model city that reflects India’s commitment to development and heritage preservation.

Shri Modi reiterated his vision of Uttar Pradesh as a land of competence and accomplishments, highlighting the state’s achievements in securing Geographical Indication (GI) certifications for local crafts and products, which open pathways for global market recognition.
