Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Odisha on June 20, marking the first anniversary of the BJP government in the state.
The visit, originally planned for June 12, was rescheduled due to prior engagements, confirmed Minister Suresh Pujari on Saturday.
During his visit, PM Modi is expected to highlight key achievements of the Odisha government, including welfare initiatives such as the Subhadra Yojana, which provides financial assistance to women, and the Mukhyamantri Kamadhenu Yojana, aimed at boosting the dairy sector.
Chief Minister Mohan Majhi had earlier extended invitations to PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, and other dignitaries to attend the function marking one year of the party’s governance in the state.
Last year, PM Modi attended the swearing-in ceremony of the Majhi government, underscoring his support for the BJP’s leadership in Odisha. The upcoming event is expected to showcase progress made in various developmental programs and strengthen ties between the state and central governments.
