New Delhi: On the sixth anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the 40 CRPF personnel who lost their lives in one of the deadliest terror strikes in India.
Taking to social media, PM Modi tweeted, “Homage to the courageous heroes we lost in Pulwama in 2019. The coming generations will never forget their sacrifice and their unwavering dedication to the nation.”
The Pulwama attack, which took place on February 14, 2019, saw a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist drive an explosives-laden vehicle into a convoy of CRPF personnel in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The attack led to nationwide grief and outrage, ultimately resulting in India’s Balakot airstrike targeting terror camps in Pakistan.
As India remembers its fallen heroes, tributes have poured in from leaders, officials, and citizens across the country. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) also paid respects at their memorial, vowing to uphold their legacy of service and sacrifice.
The anniversary serves as a solemn reminder of the valor of India’s security forces and the continued fight against terrorism.
