Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone for a new terminal building at Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar, Haryana, on April 14th, 2025.
With an investment of over Rs 410 crore, this milestone is set to redefine Haryana’s aviation and infrastructural landscape. The terminal will include state-of-the-art facilities such as a passenger terminal, cargo terminal, and ATC building, promising improved connectivity within and beyond Haryana.
Coinciding with Babasaheb Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, the event underscored the government’s commitment to social justice and equitable development. The Prime Minister paid homage to Babasaheb, emphasizing his contributions to India’s Constitution and aligning the government’s policies with his vision. Flights connecting Haryana to Ayodhya Dham launched today, symbolizing spiritual and cultural ties between Lord Krishna’s sacred land and Lord Ram’s city.
The Prime Minister’s address highlighted India’s aviation boom under his administration, showcasing the UDAN scheme’s success and the growth in affordable air travel for all. Additionally, he criticized the previous government for neglecting the marginalized and underprivileged communities, contrasting it with his administration’s dedicated efforts toward inclusive growth.
