Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the Bihar Rajya Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh Limited via video conferencing, marking a significant step toward empowering rural women through financial inclusion.

The initiative will enable women associated with the Jeevika programme to access credit and support for their businesses directly through mobile platforms, eliminating the need for physical visits.

Addressing the event, PM Modi praised the Bihar government and Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar for the initiative, stating, “Empowered women are the foundation of Viksit Bharat.” He emphasized that the dignity, respect, and self-reliance of mothers and sisters are top priorities for the central government.

The Prime Minister highlighted several national schemes aimed at improving women’s lives, including:

  • Construction of crores of toilets under Swachh Bharat
  • PM Awas Yojana homes registered in women’s names
  • Har Ghar Jal for clean drinking water
  • Ayushman Bharat for Rs 5 lakh free healthcare
  • Free ration distribution
  • Income-generating schemes like Lakhpati Didi, Drone Didi, and Bank Sakhi

He assured that the government will continue accelerating efforts to reduce hardships faced by women and promote their economic independence.

The launch of the Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh is expected to strengthen grassroots entrepreneurship and financial resilience among women in Bihar’s rural communities.
