Prime Minister Narendra Modi, currently on a state visit to Saudi Arabia, strongly condemned the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which left several tourists injured.
He expressed condolences to the victims and vowed that the perpetrators would not escape justice.
“I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest,” the Prime Minister posted on X (formerly Twitter).
He assured that all possible assistance was being provided to the injured and those affected by the attack.
“Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice… they will not be spared! Their evil agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakable, and it will only grow stronger,” he added.
PM Modi’s statement came amid ongoing operations by security forces in the region to track down the assailants responsible for the cowardly act targeting civilians.
