PhonePe unveiled UPI Circle, a groundbreaking feature designed to enhance digital payment accessibility for users without a linked bank account.
This feature enables a primary user to authorise payments for dependents, easing transactions for family members, friends, and trusted individuals.
Through UPI Circle, a primary user can set spending limits and grant access to secondary users, ensuring financial control while broadening the scope of digital payments. The initiative is particularly beneficial for parents supporting children, adults assisting elderly parents, and individuals managing household expenses.
PhonePe Chief Business Officer Sonika Chandra emphasised that UPI Circle aims to simplify digital payments for the underbanked population, fostering greater financial inclusion.
