Pawan Kalyan has finally reacted to the growing comparisons between himself and Vijay after the Tamil superstar’s massive political rise sparked debate across South India.
Speaking at the Jana Sena Party headquarters in Mangalagiri, Pawan Kalyan addressed supporters who have been urging him to follow a political path similar to Vijay’s.
‘Don’t Compare’: Pawan Kalyan Responds To Viral Comparisons
Without directly naming Vijay, Pawan Kalyan said people have been pressuring him ever since the Tamil Nadu elections.
“In our neighbouring state, an actor established a party and became the Chief Minister. Many people messaged me saying I should have done the same in Andhra Pradesh,” he said.
The actor-politician also pointed out that Andhra Pradesh’s political environment is very different from Tamil Nadu’s.
Using a Telugu idiom, he explained that unnecessary excitement around comparisons does not reflect political reality.
“The situation in Andhra Pradesh is different. I contested the 2019 elections. What happened then? Even ministers did not stand by me. So don’t compare,” he added.
His comments quickly went viral on social media, with supporters debating the different political journeys of both stars.
Chiranjeevi’s Warm Phone Call With Vijay Sparks Buzz
The discussion intensified after Chiranjeevi reportedly had a warm and cordial phone conversation with Vijay following his swearing-in as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
According to a statement released by Chiranjeevi’s team, the Megastar congratulated Vijay and wished him success in delivering people-centric governance.
The note stated that Chiranjeevi hoped Vijay would earn the same affection from the people that legendary leader M. G. Ramachandran once received.
Vijay also reportedly praised Chiranjeevi’s recent film and thanked him for supporting him during the piracy controversy surrounding Jana Nayagan.
Different Political Journeys In South India
While Vijay’s rapid political rise has become one of the biggest stories in Indian politics and cinema, Pawan Kalyan reminded supporters that every state has its own political dynamics.
Pawan Kalyan entered politics years ago and has steadily built his presence through the Jana Sena Party. He currently serves as Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, Vijay’s transition from cinema superstar to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has triggered intense public and media attention across the country.
