The darshan of the Holy Trinity at Puri’s Jagannath Temple will be restricted for four hours on Monday due to the Paitalagi Niti ritual of Lord Jagannath.
According to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), devotees will not be able to have darshan from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm following the second Bhogamandap tomorrow.
The Paitalagi Niti ritual for Mahaprabhu is conducted to safeguard the sandalwood applied to the idols daily. As this is a confidential ritual, the darshan of the deities will be closed to devotees.
