The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, on Monday issued an official notification inviting applications for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2026, the mandatory qualifying exam for candidates aspiring to become teachers in government and private primary and upper primary schools across the state.
Both fresh candidates and in-service teachers are eligible to apply. The entire process will be conducted online through the board’s official website.
Applications will open on **March 26, 2026** and will remain open until midnight of **April 9, 2026**. Candidates are advised to complete the form submission and fee payment by **11:45 PM** on the last date to avoid any last-minute technical issues.
The OTET 2026 written examination is scheduled for **May 29, 2026**, and will be conducted in two separate sessions:
- **Paper-I** (for Classes 1–5): 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM
- **Paper-II** (for Classes 6–8): 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Admit cards will be available for download starting **May 15, 2026**, from the BSE Odisha official website.
