Cuttack: The most talking issue of the Berhampur marital discord has taken a new turn as the Orissa High Court on Tuesday issued notice for inclusion of the names of Tapaswini Dash and her father as parties in the matter pertaining to alleged police inaction on women trespassing into Dr Sumit Sahu’s house in Berhampur.
While conducting a hearing on a petition filed by Dr Sahu’s father Pramod Sahu, the High Court issued the notice to Tapaswini Dash and her father.
Sumit Sahu’s father had filed a petition alleging inaction by Baidanathpur police against local women who had forced their entry into his house by breaking open the lock of the main gate.
Pramod Sahu had also filed an FIR at the Baidanathpur police station in this regard. However, the police had allegedly remained a mute spectator to the whole incident despite section 144 CrPC being in force in the area.
Meanwhile, the High Court while fixing February 8 as the next date for hearing in the matter directed Tapaswini and her father to submit their side of things before the court.
Over 30 people had barged into the house of Dr Sahu’s father Pramod Sahu on the 20th of last month and had hurled abuses.
