The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released a recruitment notification for 314 Assistant Professor positions in various government-run medical colleges across the state.
Eligible candidates can apply online from May 26 to June 26, 2025, through the official portal (opsc.gov.in).
The recruitment aims to address faculty shortages in medical institutions by onboarding qualified professionals in disciplines including Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, General Medicine, Paediatrics, and several others. Candidates must possess postgraduate qualifications (MD, MS, DNB, or M.Sc.) in relevant specialities, along with mandatory teaching experience as per National Medical Commission (NMC) norms.
Applicants must be aged between 21 and 45 years as of May 1, 2025, with age relaxation available for reserved category candidates. The application fee is set at Rs 500 for General and OBC candidates, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates from Odisha are exempted.
The selection process may include a written test and/or an interview. Selected candidates will be placed in Level 12 of the pay matrix, with a starting salary of Rs 79,800 per month, plus allowances.
