In a strategic move to combat terrorism, India executed Operation Sindoor, reinforcing its stance against cross-border threats.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh described the operation as a powerful demonstration of India’s political, social, and military willpower.
The operation targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK, ensuring that innocent civilians remained unharmed. However, Pakistan retaliated by attacking civilian areas within India, including religious sites, escalating tensions further.
In addition to the military operation, Singh virtually inaugurated the BrahMos Integration & Testing Facility Centre in Lucknow. The complex aims to boost India’s self-reliance in defence technology and foster economic development by creating employment opportunities.
The new facility, covering 200 acres, will integrate critical missile components, enhancing India’s growing defence industry. The initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Make-in-India, Make-for-the-World” policy, reinforcing India’s ambition to become a key global exporter of defence equipment.
Speaking at the event, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised efforts to establish Lucknow as a defence manufacturing hub, emphasising India’s firm stance against terrorism. Singh reiterated the commitment to bolstering national security while strengthening India’s position on the world stage.
