Ollywood actor Partha Sarathi Ray was taken into custody by the Badagada Town Police on Thursday following the issuance of a non-bailable warrant (NBW) by the local Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court.
The arrest was prompted by alleged violations of court protocols in an ongoing legal matter.
Police sources confirmed that a special team from Badagada Town Police Station executed the arrest and produced Ray before the court earlier this afternoon. Although officials have refrained from disclosing the precise nature of the case, it was revealed that the JMFC Court had directed prompt enforcement of the warrant after the actor reportedly failed to comply with court-mandated conditions.
Legal proceedings are expected to progress in the coming days, as the matter gains traction both in judicial circles and public discourse.
Ray, known for his work in several Odia films and television serials, had remained low-profile amid these legal developments. His arrest now places him back in the public spotlight, though neither he nor his legal team has issued an official statement regarding the incident.
