The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted dry weather across Odisha as western disturbances eased, with night temperatures showing a gradual rise.
Dr Manorama Mohanty, Head of IMD Bhubaneswar, said most districts reported dry conditions. In the past 24 hours, five towns recorded minimum temperatures below 10°C. No rainfall was reported anywhere in the state. Udayagiri emerged as the coldest location, registering 4.3°C.
IMD noted that minimum temperatures will increase by 2 to 3 degrees over the next two days. Afterwards, no major changes are expected. Daytime temperatures will remain normal, though some areas may continue to feel the effect of cool winds.
Dry weather will persist across districts, and IMD has not issued any special warnings for now.
According to the seven-day forecast, the winter chill will gradually reduce, and temperatures will return to normal levels. Officials said the dry spell will benefit farmers, while travellers should remain cautious due to foggy conditions in some regions.
