The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow nowcast warning for rain, lightning and thunder in five districts of Odisha.
According to the warning issued at 11:30 am on September 19, light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning and thunder is likely at one or two places in Baleshwar, Jagatsinghpur, Balangir, Bargada and Anugola during the next three hours.
IMD Issues Three-Hour Weather Warning
The nowcast alert covers a short three-hour period and indicates the possibility of thunderstorms and rainfall at isolated locations across the five districts.
Residents in the affected areas have been advised to monitor local weather conditions and take necessary precautions, particularly during thunderstorms.
People are also advised to remain alert to changing weather conditions and follow official weather updates.
