The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that a well‑marked low‑pressure area over northern Madhya Pradesh and adjoining southern Uttar Pradesh continues to influence weather patterns across eastern India.
The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level and is expected to remain quasi‑stationary for the next two days. The monsoon trough currently passes through Sri Ganganagar, Narnaul, the low‑pressure centre, Daltonganj, Berhampore and eastwards towards Tripura.
In Odisha, very light rainfall was recorded at isolated places, including Suliapada (Mayurbhanj), Pipili (Puri), Satyabadi (Puri), and Tensa (Sundaragada). The highest maximum temperature was 36.3°C at Puri, while the lowest minimum was 19.2°C at Boudh.
