Bhubaneswar: A day after the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, approved the alternative methods for assessing and awarding marks in all Class-10 and equivalent examinations, State School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Saturday said that the method will not hamper or disappoint students.
The Minister further stated that “If not satisfied, they can appear for the exam once COVID situation improves.”
“We do not have other alternatives. On the basis of the present situation, the board has to adopt the measures, ” he added.
The BSE was directed to come up with an alternative method of assessment to award marks to the candidates. After discussing with various stakeholders, the Board has published this assessment method.
