The Odisha government has restructured a secretary-level committee aimed at resolving land leasing issues across the state.
The newly reconstituted seven-member panel will be chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department. It is tasked with discussing and recommending solutions to various concerns surrounding land leasing, as outlined in a government notification issued on April 19, 2025.
The committee’s formation marks a continued effort by the state government to streamline land ownership and leasing policies, ensuring legal clarity and smooth administrative processes for residents and businesses alike.
The committee will include the following Members:
- Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Department
- Principal Secretary, Law Department
- Principal Secretary, ST & SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department
- Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Cooperation Department
- Additional Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department
- A special invitee, to be co-opted by the Chairman
