In a significant administrative move, the Odisha government has reshuffled senior officers across key departments.

An official notification from the GA& PG Dept states that the transfers and postings will be effective from May 31, 2025 (Afternoon). Officers are instructed to assume their new roles immediately.

Balmukunda Bhuyan has been appointed as Director, Elementary Education, transitioning from his current position in the Tourism Department.

Sambit Kumar Nayak, previously posted in the Women & Child Development Department, is now Director, Text Book Production and Marketing.

Bhabani Prasad Mishra, who served as Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corporation, has been designated as State Nodal Officer, P.M. Poshan and M.M. Poshan on foreign service terms.

Surendra Kumar Panda’s earlier assignment as State Nodal Officer, P.M. Poshan and M.M. Poshan has been cancelled.

The reshuffle reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and streamline departmental functions. Officers relieved from their previous roles are expected to report to their new positions without delay.

Stay tuned for further updates on Odisha’s governance and policy changes.
