Odisha SRC issued advisory after IMD predicted rise in maximum temperature by 3 to 5 degree Celsius over the next four to five days.

The temperature is very likely to increase further to about 40 degree C in 6 districts of Odisha- Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh and Bolangir.

Principal Secretary Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra confirmed that the guidelines issued on May 6, 2024, remain effective amid ongoing deliberations over complex legal issues.
