Odisha celebrated the 8th National Poshan Maah 2025 with a vibrant state-level event at Lok Seva Bhavan.
The program highlighted balanced nutrition and healthy living.
Throughout the month, the state organized over 54.81 lakh awareness activities. These took place across Anganwadi centers, ICDS sectors, districts, and state platforms.
Key themes included cutting sugar and oil intake, promoting early childhood care, encouraging newborn feeding practices, and boosting male participation. Officials also focused on digital integration and grassroots empowerment.
Deputy CM Smt. Pravati Parida led initiatives like APAAR ID for children’s educational records and ABHA ID for health data. She urged Anganwadi workers to share their stories through short videos online.
Departmental Director Monisha Banerjee emphasized daily exercise, yoga, and nutritious food. She called for lifestyle changes to build a healthier environment.
Additional Secretary Madhumita Rath discussed the PM Poshan scheme. She noted its role in providing mid-day meals from pre-primary to Class 10.
The Jan Andolan Dashboard honored Puri, Bhadrak, and Kendrapara as top-performing districts. Officials uploaded campaign data to the dashboard for national review.
Senior officers from Forest & Environment, Panchayati Raj, Health, Agriculture, Higher Education, and Odia Language & Culture joined the event. Their presence strengthened inter-departmental collaboration.
