Rayagada: Odisha Health & Family Welfare Minister Naba Kisore Das on Thursday visited the diarrhoea-affected areas in Rayagada municipality, took stock of the health facilities and inspected the sources of water being used by villagers.
He spoke to patients and doctors, besides taking stock of the medical facilities there.
On July 30, three people from Debadihi village and Jharsuguda Municipal Ward No. 13 to 12 were infected and Two died while some others are being treated.
After his visit, Minister stated that the Health Department will leave no stone unturned to contain the spread of the disease. he also assured us that all steps will be taken to contain the disease and treat the afflicted.
Das, accompanied by along with the officials of the district health department, went to the houses of the families who died due to this disease and expressed his condolences to the family and provided financial assistance to them.
