The Odisha government on Tuesday effected a significant reshuffle, transferring and posting 37 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) of Police across various districts and units, effective immediately.
The official reshuffle order, signed by the D.I.G. of Police (Personnel), Odisha State Police HQs, Cuttack, includes a detailed list of personnel, their previous postings, and new assignments.
Several officers have been attached to key units such as the Police Commissionerates in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Berhampur, as well as Special Branches in Ganjam and Nayagarh.
The Personnel Establishment Board, held on July 29, 2025, finalised the transfers. Officials have emphasised that the immediate effect of these postings aims to address operational needs across Odisha’s diverse regions, from urban centres like Bhubaneswar to rural districts.
