The Finance Department of the Odisha Government has launched its annual pre-budget consultation process, inviting suggestions from the public, civil society organisations, advocacy groups and other stakeholders for the preparation of the state’s Annual Budget 2026-27.
Continuing its practice of making the budgetary process more inclusive and technology-driven, the department is providing multiple channels for citizens to contribute their ideas.
Suggestions can be submitted through the dedicated Budget web portal at https://budget.odisha.gov.in/, which also hosts all budget-related documents for easy reference.
In addition to the portal, citizens can send their inputs via email to odisha.budget@gov.in, WhatsApp to the mobile number +91-9438161111, or through the department’s official social media handles: @FdOdisha on X (formerly Twitter), @FinanceOdisha on Facebook, and @fdodisha on Instagram.
The facility will remain open until January 31, 2026, giving citizens nearly a month to participate in this democratic exercise.
With Odisha continuing to leverage digital platforms for greater outreach, this year’s consultation is expected to receive widespread participation from across the state.
