The Government of Odisha has promoted Shri Debaprasad Dash, OAS (Supertime Scale), Joint Secretary in the Law, Language & Culture (LL & C) Department, to the grade of OAS (Special Secretary) on an ad-hoc basis.
His promotion is notional, effective from June 1, 2022, and does not entitle him to arrears of financial benefits.
Shri Dash will now serve as Special Secretary to the Government, LL & C Department, while continuing to hold the additional charge of Director, Information & Public Relations (I & PR), Odisha, Bhubaneswar. His inter-se seniority in the OAS (SS) grade has been fixed above Smt. Shyamali Mohapatra.
The promotion is subject to final orders from the Hon’ble Apex Court regarding SLP(C) No. 35608-35610 and other relevant cases. The notification has been officially communicated to the concerned authorities, including the Auditor General (A&E), Odisha, and key government departments.
This decision underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening administrative leadership within key departments.
