The Odisha Government forms a high-level committee to address the complexities of the Mahanadi water dispute.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi directs the Water Resources Department to constitute the committee under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo.
The committee will examine all aspects of the Mahanadi water issue and provide policy guidance to technical and administrative efforts. The government recognises the sensitivity of the matter and seeks to strengthen its position before the Mahanadi Water Disputes Tribunal.
The committee includes senior leaders and legislators. Members are:
