In a bid to streamline administrative efficiency and enhance environmental oversight, the Odisha government’s Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department announced significant transfers of Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers across multiple divisions.
According to the official notification issued on August 2, 2025, senior officer Karthick V. (RR-2009) will continue holding additional charge as Chief Conservator of Forests (Monitoring, Evaluation & Internal Work), reinforcing continuity in critical operations.
Notable among the new postings are:
- Jagayandatt Pati (RR-2012), earlier DFO Athagarh, is now posted as RCCF, Koraput Circle.
- Katunge Gorakh Waman (RR-2013) transitions from DFO Sambalpur to Director, Horticulture, Odisha, reflecting the state’s push for agri-diversification.
- Jadhav Sudarshan Gopinath (RR-2018) moves from Mangrove (WL), Rajnagar, to DFO Sambalpur.
- Rashmi G. (RR-2022) is reassigned from Titilagarh (KL) to DFO Deogarh.
- Varadaraj Gaonkar (RR-2022) steps into the role of DFO, Mangrove (WL), Rajnagar.
