The Government of Odisha’s Higher Education Department has extended the last date for submission of online applications for the Bidesh Sikhyabruti Scheme from September 1 to September 18, 2026.
The scheme, launched to empower Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students aspiring to pursue Postgraduate and Ph.D. courses in the top 200 QS‑ranked foreign universities, offers financial assistance to eligible candidates.
Students from SC/ST categories with an annual family income up to ₹12 lakh can apply through the OSS Portal (https://scholarship.odisha.gov.in). A total of 50 students will be supported under the initiative for the academic years 2025–26 (December 2025/January 2026) and 2026–27.
The Higher Education Department has urged interested candidates to complete their applications before the new deadline. Detailed guidelines are available on the department’s official website.
