Bhubaneswar: The second phase elections held in a very enthusiastic way in Odisha. The final voter turnout of the elections is recorded in the state at 69.34% for Monday.
Sonepur assembly constituency at 81.23% voter turnout recorded to be highest whereas Hinjili assembly constituency at 58.21% recorded as the lowest voter footfall.
As per the announcement by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the polling process began on time and it continued throughout the day until the evening.
Today, voters have sealed the fate of candidates for five Lok Sabha constituencies- Aska, Bargarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal, and Sundargarh. As many as 265 candidates are contesting in 35 Assembly constituencies in phase 2 of Odisha Elections 2024.
The average voter turnout is recorded at 69.34%. Among the five Lok Sabha Constituencies the voter turnout recorded the lowest at 60.78% in Aska, the highest at 76.20% in Bargarh, 71.46% in Bolangir, 70.37% in Kandhamal and 67.74% in Sundargarh.
Notably, the voter turnout for the 5th phase elections of the nation is recorded at 60.09% for the Lok Sabha seats across the nation on Monday.
