Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired a high-level review meeting on Monday to assess preparations for the upcoming Rath Yatra and directed officials to ensure flawless execution of the grand festival.
The meeting took place at the Town Hall. Deputy Chief Ministers Pravati Parida and K.V. Singh Deo, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Shree Jagannath Temple Chief Administrator Dr Arabinda Padhee, and other senior officials attended the session.
Majhi thoroughly examined the progress of key arrangements, including road infrastructure, sanitation, crowd management, traffic regulation, emergency services, power and water supply. He instructed all departments to work with full dedication and complete every pending work well before the festival begins.
Officials briefed the Chief Minister on infrastructure upgrades, health facilities, and comprehensive traffic plans designed to handle the massive influx of devotees. The administration assured that all systems stand ready to manage the expected huge turnout.
While addressing the gathering, Majhi stressed seamless coordination among departments, servitors, and employees. “If everyone works with a spirit of service and maintains perfect coordination, the Rath Yatra will be completely error-free,” he said.
The Chief Minister highlighted the global significance of the event and declared that the safety and convenience of devotees remain the top priority. He praised the devotion of servitors, noting that Lord Jagannath’s rituals have always been conducted smoothly due to their commitment. “I am confident there will be no difficulties this year either,” Majhi added.
The meeting ended with a strong call for teamwork, discipline, and devotion to uphold Odisha’s rich spiritual tradition and deliver a safe, successful, and memorable Rath Yatra for millions of devotees.
