Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday paid his last respects to Prashant Satpathy, a resident of Balasore, who was tragically killed in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
The CM personally visited the bereaved family to express his condolences and stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time. He assured them of the government’s full support and announced a financial assistance of ₹20 lakh for the family of the slain Odia youth.
In a further gesture of compassion and commitment, Chief Minister Majhi declared that Prashant Satpathy’s wife would be provided with a government job to ensure financial stability. He also announced that the government would bear all expenses related to the education of Satpathy’s son.
“This is an irreparable loss. Prashant was a proud son of Odisha, and we stand with his family. The state will do everything possible to support them,” said the CM.
The attack, which claimed multiple lives, has drawn strong condemnation across the nation. Prashant Satpathy’s sacrifice is being remembered with deep respect, and the state has promised to honor his memory by taking care of those he left behind.
