On the auspicious occasion of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Jayanti, the Honorable Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, paid heartfelt tributes to the architect of the Indian Constitution.
The ceremony took place at AG Square, Bhubaneswar, where the Chief Minister offered floral tributes at Dr. Ambedkar’s statue.
The event was marked by the presence of numerous followers and social workers who gathered to honor Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy. Known for his relentless fight for social justice and equality, Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions continue to inspire generations.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of remembering and upholding the values championed by Dr. Ambedkar, urging everyone to work towards a more inclusive and equitable society.
The ceremony was organized by the Department of Information and Public Relations.
The Chief Minister hailed Dr. Ambedkar as a social reformer, a skilled lawyer, an economist, and a nation-builder who played a pivotal role in shaping modern India. He emphasized Dr. Ambedkar’s values of mental fortitude, intellect, and unwavering commitment to truth, recalling his sacrifices and contributions to nation-building. Shri Majhi referred to Dr. Ambedkar as a symbol of resilience and a guiding force for equality and social justice.
The event witnessed the presence of various dignitaries, including the Minister for School and Mass Education, Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare, and Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Shri Nityananda Gond. Additionally, Members of Parliament Shri Bibhu Prasad Tarai (Jagatsinghpur) and Dr. Rabindra Narayan Behera (Jajpur), along with MLA Shri Babu Singh (Ekamra), joined the floral tribute ceremony. Scholars, prominent educators, and various esteemed individuals also participated in commemorating the legacy of Dr. Ambedkar.
