Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi presided over the 14th edition of the state-level grievance redressal program today at Unit-2, Bhubaneswar.

Accompanied by eight senior ministers and top administrative officials, the CM personally heard public complaints and directed immediate action where necessary.

The initiative, which has become a hallmark of participatory governance, has significantly strengthened public trust in the administration. Of the 12,252 complaints received over the past 13 sessions, 10,807 have been resolved—an impressive 88% resolution rate. Remaining cases are under active review.

In a compassionate gesture, the CM first met with over 40 differently-abled and critically ill individuals waiting outside the hearing chamber. He accepted their petitions and instructed officials to take swift action. Later, registered complainants were heard inside the chamber.

The CM emphasised that listening to citizens’ concerns and resolving their issues is a top priority. For those visibly distressed, he offered reassurance and promised resolution, bringing visible relief and hope to many.

Senior ministers present included Deputy CM Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, Urban Development Minister Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik, Mass Education and Social Welfare Minister Nityananda Gond, Higher Education and Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, Handloom Minister Pradeep Bal Samanta, and Environment Minister Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia.

Top bureaucrats such as Additional Chief Secretary Satyabrata Sahu, Surendra Kumar, and Deo Ranjan Singh also participated, ensuring departmental coordination for complaint resolution.

The grievance redressal program is being replicated at the district level, helping citizens resolve long-pending issues through direct engagement with the government.
