Odisha’s Chief Secretary, Anu Garg, IAS, chaired a review meeting to assess the preparations for the Physical Standard Measurement and Physical Efficiency Test under the Combined Recruitment Examination-2025 (II).
The recruitment drive aims to fill the vacant posts of Forester, Forest Guard, and Excise Constable.
Secretaries of various departments and the Chairman of the Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) attended the meeting, while District Collectors from all districts joined virtually.
During the session, the OSSSC presented a detailed report on the ongoing recruitment process. The physical tests are scheduled to commence across all districts of the state on Oct 12, with a total of 4,683 eligible candidates set to participate.
Chief Secy Garg strongly emphasised conducting the examination process in a transparent, fair, disciplined, and safe manner. Directives were issued to ensure the availability of essential infrastructure at all examination centers, including proper drinking water, food, sanitation facilities, and stringent security measures. To maintain complete transparency, the physical tests of every candidate will be videographed, and all necessary records will be strictly preserved.
Given the physical nature of the tests, the health and safety of the candidates have been given the highest priority. The Chief Secretary directed officials to deploy dedicated medical teams, first aid facilities, and Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances at the test venues.
Furthermore, District Collectors have been instructed to conduct regular reviews of their respective district’s preparations and ensure that all prescribed guidelines are strictly followed during the examination process.
